Grow thy Journal

It is only recently that I took up writing again. Journaling constantly is one thing and growing my writing community is another. Well, yes I do realize it can take time and effort, but here are some strategies I plan to use to help increase my readership:

Btw, you can also become a member of my Journal and write posts for your own. This is a great way to grow your content and keep it fresh and diversified.
I am happy to share my space. Also, each member gets their own personal profile page that they can customise. If you are keen then let me know.
I realised the best way to organically grow is to produce high-quality engaging content: The most important factor in growing your Journal followers is to consistently produce high-quality content that your readers will find valuable and informative...or at least I hope they do.This will keep them coming back for more and encourage them to share your content with others.
I need to also actively promote the Journal: Share the posts on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Another approach is to share the URL in your email signature and on business cards to promote it offline.
Engagement & Collab - Start by finding other Journals in your niche and then make conscious to
collaborate with them on content or promotions. This can help you reach a wider audience and attract new followers.

Second step here is to .engage with your readers - Respond to their comments on your Journal and engage with them on social media (though the later is entirely optional and depends on you.). This will help you build a loyal following and encourage them to share your content with others.
I spent a good amount of time optimising my website and the Journal for search engines: It is certainly wise to use keywords in posts that act like meta descriptions to help your content rank higher in search engines like Google. This can help one attract more organic traffic to their Journal.
It has always been a pain to put your side above all the others when you have a name 'Abhisek'. Every 2 in 5 Indian guys have this name and you will be surprised how many of them have your Surname too...and also have an website! Damn.
Should I also offer incentives? It is honestly daunting for a personal writer to offer freebies, or cover exclusive content, or discounts to the readers...but what I can do is to offer this space I designed to setup their own Journal. If you ever were on Wordpress then you would know how much you wished to have your own space. Well you can have one now - would this encourage others to sign up for my email list or follow my Journal on social media? Will have to wait to find out I guess.
If you have other ideas then please share.
